In my most recent role, I stayed in regular communications with the media regarding our core business, special offerings, and unique events including fundraisers, parties, and visits from industry leaders.
As our public relations point-person, I communicated with the press about the opening of a new location; the pandemic-forced closing of that store; the creation of a new concept for the location; and finally the opening of our most ambitious restaurant to date.
I quickly supplied photography and fact-checking for inclusion in “best of” articles, such as Thrillist’s “The Best Barbecue Spots in Milwaukee,” “Milwaukee’s 11 Best Bloody Marys,” “50 Things You Need to Eat in Milwaukee Before You Die,” and “The 41 Best Brunch Spots in America.”
I consistently updated the press on changing hours of operation, policies, and procedures during pandemic-shutdowns and restrictions. Some of the coverage I helped facilitate:
- “Local restaurants going through hard times, step up to help feed families”
- “Fans, business excited as Brewers’ announce game day capacity”
